Who is on your postpartum team?

👷‍♀️🏡Building a postpartum team during the third trimester of pregnancy can be incredibly beneficial for the new parents and their overall well-being.

💙Here are my favorite 4 reasons why it is beneficial to build a postpartum team during this time:

👶Support during the early days: The postpartum period can be physically and emotionally challenging for new parents. Having a postpartum team in place during the third trimester ensures that there is support available right from the beginning. This support can include family members, friends, or hired professionals who can assist with household chores, caring for the baby, and providing emotional support.

👶Smooth transition to parenthood: The transition to parenthood can be overwhelming, especially for first-time parents. By building a postpartum team in the third trimester, parents can begin to establish a support system that will help them navigate the early days of parenthood. This support can ease the transition and provide reassurance and guidance during this new phase of their lives.

🧘‍♂️Physical recovery: The third trimester is the final stage of pregnancy, and the body undergoes significant changes during this time. Building a postpartum team allows the mother to focus on her physical recovery after childbirth.

💙Emotional well-being: The postpartum period is a time of hormonal fluctuations and emotional adjustments. Having a postpartum team in place during the third trimester ensures that there is emotional support available for the parents. This support can come in the form of family members or friends, newborn care specialist and doulas.

Building a postpartum team during the third trimester allows for a smoother transition to parenthood, provides physical and emotional support, facilitates the mother’s physical recovery, and allows for time for self-care.
