At Gimme Sleep Newborn Care, one of my clients’ all-time favorites is the simple yet powerful combo of ginger and lemon—dash of honey - and for good reason! This natural duo is a gentle way to help detox your body post-birth, especially if you had an epidural. While epidurals can be essential for pain management, they can also leave your body feeling sluggish as it works to flush out medications and rebalance.


Ginger is a natural anti-inflammatory that supports digestion, boosts circulation, and helps ease postpartum bloating. Lemon, packed with vitamin C, hydrates, alkalizes, and supports liver function—key for clearing out residual anesthesia and promoting energy.
